Referrals
Referrals are not required to see a podiatrist. In some instances your GP, a case manager or another health professional may refer you to us.
Referral / Rebate Types
Private Health Insurance
If you hold private health insurance with ancillary cover that includes podiatry services we are able to process your claim at the time of payment via our HiCaps terminals for most health funds.
Please bring either your physical health fund card or digital card to enable on the spot claiming.

Footwise Podiatry Group is a preferred HCF provider - your first visit of the calendar year will be fully met by HCF with no out of pocket cost.
Medicare
Medicare rebates are available for those patients with chronic health conditions referred under a Care Plan by their GP. Up to 5 visits are available across Allied Health per calendar year.
The current rebate is $61.80 (or greater if the Medicare Threshold has been reached). Our regular fee schedule applies for all consultations.

Please note: We do not offer Bulk Billing except in cases of extreme financial distress. If you feel you meet this criteria please call our office to discuss with one of our podiatrists directly.
Veterans' Affairs
Billing through DVA is available for Gold Card holders and some White Card holders who meet certain criteria. A D904 referral is required from your GP every 12 months, or after 12 visits, whichever limit is reached first.
TAC
&
Worksafe
Footwise Podiatry Group are registered providers with the Transport Accident Commission and Worksafe Victoria. If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident or have been injured at work, we may be able to assist in recovery and restoration of lower limb function.
Our Podiatrists take a collaborative approach to patient recovery by liaising with claims officers, General Practitioners, Physiotherapists and surgeons to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.

Our regular fee schedule is applicable to all TAC and Worksafe consultations. Accounts are required to be settled at the time of appointment and an invoice will be supplied for claiming via TAC or Worksafe.
Aged Care Packages
Footwise Podiatry Group provides care under the Commonwealth's Aged Care Package scheme for both in clinic and home visit podiatry. Referral will need to be organised by the recipients case manager for those who are eligible.

Please note; we are unable to accept codes provided under the My Aged Care scheme. If you have been allocated a code to claim funding you must see one of the registered providers on the My Aged Care website.
NDIS
Footwise Podiatry Group is able to provide podiatry care for patients who are Self Managed or Plan Managed under the National Disability Insurance Scheme. In clinic or home visits are available.
